To welcome the 2026 Rotary International Convention, National Taipei University of Education (NTUE) is pleased to host the Empowering Peacebuilders Capacity Symposium with Rotary Club  . Faculty members, staff, and students are invited to participate in this meaningful event.

Refreshments will be provided for all participants. Students who complete the on-site sign-in process may apply for lecture attendance credit based on their attendance record.

「2026國際扶輪世界年會」將於2026年6月13日至17日在臺北大巨蛋及南港展覽館盛大舉行，預計吸引來自超過120個國家、逾3萬名扶輪社友及國際領袖齊聚臺灣，是近年臺灣最具規模的國際民間交流盛會之一。透過專題論壇、國際交流及和平倡議，共同探討健康、教育、永續發展與和平建構等全球重要議題。

The 2026 Rotary International Convention will take place from June 13 to 17, 2026, at the Taipei Dome and the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center. The convention is expected to attract more than 30,000 Rotary members and international leaders from over 120 countries, making it one of Taiwan’s largest international people-to-people exchange events in recent years. Through keynote forums, international dialogue, and peace initiatives, participants will explore critical global issues, including health, education, sustainable development, and peacebuilding.

在此國際盛會即將到來之際，本校榮幸舉辦本次活動，邀請國際講者分享和平教育、衝突轉化、全球合作及和平建構的實踐經驗，為臺灣接軌國際和平行動揭開序幕。本次論壇所關注的和平理念，不僅是避免衝突與暴力的「消極和平」，更強調透過教育、公平、包容、社會參與及跨文化合作所建立的「正向和平」，從制度、文化與人際關係等層面培養促進社會長期穩定與共同繁榮的力量。

In anticipation of this major international gathering, NTUE is honored to organize this symposium and invite distinguished speakers from around the world to share their experiences and insights on peace education, conflict transformation, global collaboration, and peacebuilding. This event marks an important step in connecting Taiwan with international peace initiatives and fostering greater engagement in global peace efforts.

The concept of peace highlighted in this symposium extends beyond Negative Peace, which focuses on the absence of conflict and violence. It emphasizes Positive Peace—the creation of conditions that enable individuals and communities to thrive through education, equity, inclusion, civic engagement, and intercultural cooperation. Positive Peace seeks to strengthen the institutions, cultural values, and social relationships that support long-term stability, resilience, and shared prosperity.

本次受邀來訪之國內外貴賓，多年來深度參與扶輪和平中心及全球和平教育推動工作，對有志於申請國際扶輪和平獎學金、赴海外和平中心進修，或投入國際組織與和平發展領域的師生而言，本活動提供了與國際專家建立連結的寶貴機會。

Many of the distinguished guests invited to this event have been deeply involved in the work of the Rotary Peace Centers and international peace education initiatives for many years. For faculty members and students interested in applying for the Rotary Peace Fellowship, pursuing advanced studies at Rotary Peace Centers abroad, or engaging in careers related to international organizations, peacebuilding, and sustainable development, this symposium provides a valuable opportunity to connect with global experts and practitioners.

和平不僅是理想，更是一種需要透過教育、對話、合作與社會參與持續實踐的能力。誠摯邀請全校師生共同參與本次國際論壇，透過跨國講者的經驗分享與交流，拓展國際視野，深入理解正向和平的理念與實踐，共同思考教育如何成為推動社會進步與世界和平的重要力量。

Peace is not merely an ideal; it is a capacity that must be continuously cultivated through education, dialogue, cooperation, and active social participation. We sincerely invite all faculty members, staff, and students to join this international symposium, broaden their global perspectives through exchanges with distinguished speakers from around the world, deepen their understanding of Positive Peace and its practical applications, and reflect on how education can serve as a powerful force for social progress and world peace.
