We are excited to invite you to our International PhD Week 2024 – a summer school organized and hosted by Trier University of Applied Sciences.
 
The International PhD Week will take place from September 23-27, 2024 in Trier, Germany.
 
Throughout the event, we aim to promote academic exchange, interdisciplinary learning, and cultural exchange. As a participant, you will have the opportunity to engage with leading scholars, researchers, and professionals in various fields, while immersing yourself in the rich cultural heritage of Trier and its surroundings. Our Summer School addresses emerging research topics such as generative AIs for scientific research and digitally enabled green and healthcare technologies. We provide participants with the knowledge and skills to excel in their current research, as well as a platform to pursue wide-ranging academic opportunities in the future.
 
Whether you are looking to enhance your academic skills, expand your professional network, or simply enjoy an unforgettable time exchanging research ideas with other young researchers from around the world, we invite you to join us for this exciting opportunity and look forward to welcoming you to Trier.
 
Application Process
The International PhD Week is open to 20 selected participants in total. PhD students from all partner universities are eligible. 2-3 candidates per partner university will be invited to participate.
 
How to Apply?
To register for the International PhD Week, please visit our website and complete the online application form.
 
Applications must include:
A short CV (PDF, 1-2 pages)
An abstract outlining your doctoral thesis and motivation for joining the International PhD Week and how it aligns with your academic and personal goals (PDF, max. 1 page)
 
Applications must be submitted by July 14, 2024.
 
There are NO fees. The summer school is free of charge for all selected participants. All activities, travel and accommodation costs will be covered by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
